Stockland is delighted to announce that Bobby Bakehouse Pie Bus will open a new cafe at The Gables in mid-2023.

The bakery will offer fresh-baked goods, food, and dairy essentials as well as convenient pre-cooked meals for residents to enjoy, all using fresh produce.

Bobby Bakehouse is owned by the same proprietor as Glenorie Bakery, winner of ‘Australia’s Best Bakery’ for the past two years in Australia’s Small Business Champion Awards. The business was awarded for its fantastic baked goods, as well as contribution to its local community, especially during recent COVID and flood events.

This included a junior baking academy, fundraising initiatives for local organisations, hand-delivery service during COVID and interactive cooking experiences for flood-affected residents.

Already open in Dural, this will be the second Bobby Bakehouse to open in The Hills area.

Construction has started, with the bakehouse made mostly from recycled materials, as part of Stockland’s wider commitment to a more sustainable future.

Bobby Bakehouse owner Rob Pirina, who has been at the helm for 18 years, said they’re looking forward to opening at The Gables early next year.

“We’re really excited to be part of this development and are very thankful to Stockland for its support and backing during the process. We have worked closely together to ensure that we give back to the community,” said Rob.

“For me, it’s about creating far more than a transaction - we want to put smiles on people’s faces, be involved in local programs and ultimately become an institution within the community through more than our delicious food and produce.”

Stockland spokesperson Ryan Baitz said it’s a real coup for The Gables residents to have Bobby Bakehouse opening in their local area.

“We feel that The Gables residents will enjoy the Bobby Bakehouse experience,” said Ryan. “It isn’t just the bakery’s top-quality produce that makes Bobby Bakehouse appealing but its commitment to the local community - we feel very aligned with our values and can’t wait for the grand opening next year.”
