To celebrate Stockland Aura’s 7th Birthday, we caught up with Aura local, Lauren Higgins from Aura Connected to find out what she loves about living and working in the Aura community.

1. What do you love most about living in the Aura community?
My neighbours and the new friends I've made in the Aura Community. And the dedicated bike paths and walkways.... and the green spaces.
2. What’s your favourite Aura business to visit and why?
Aura Veterinary Hospital. The staff are so caring and kind and my dogs actually love visiting! I also love visiting Murray and the team at Rhythm Espresso in the business park. Great coffee, relaxing visit and lovely team.
3. What did you love about building a brand new home in Aura?
We built with McLachlan and had a great experience. We have a lovely architect designed house, in a lovely street, and building from scratch I've been able to fulfil dreams such as a big laundry and fabulous walk in robe.
4. What would you recommend to a friend looking to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon in Aura?
I'd suggest family time in one of the parks with a picnic or BBQ with friends while the kids play, or take the puppies to the Baringa Dog Park. If feeling energetic maybe go for a ride/scoot as you can travel quite far around the community now, or go rockwall climbing at Boulder Heads. Maybe even have a coldie at the Tavern or Brouhaha. I like to visit Mitre10, buy plants and spend the arvo in the garden.
5. Choose 7 words to describe life in Aura.
Community, Family, Growing, Outdoors, Relaxing, Neighbours, Home.
6. If you could ask anyone 7 questions, who would it be?
The late Queen. For all of the world she had seen and experienced, the leaders she had met, the secrets she must have known. I'd have more than 7 questions though!
7. What words of advice would you give your 7-year-old self?
Invest in Apple/Amazon/Microsoft. Jump those hurdles and study Business/Environmental Science/Urban Planning as you'll love those fields one day. Stay calm, the universe delivers. Kiss and hug those you love often. And I'd give some lotto numbers from 20 years ago.
