Healthy living starts here: Aura Family Doctors helping to keep the community healthy
Stockland Aura’s recent liveability survey tells us 87 per cent of Aura residents are feeling healthier and doing more physical activity since moving into the community, which is testament to what Stockland set out to achieve when designing the masterplanned Aura community.
Another essential part of keeping Aura residents healthy, is access to quality healthcare, and a doctor’s practice plays a critical role in providing the necessary medical care, advice and support for those who call Aura home.
Established in February 2021, Aura Family Doctors was the first healthcare service established in Aura, providing the community with access to all aspects of general practice, from children’s health, right through to aged care.
The Aura Family Doctors team recently celebrated its second birthday, serving the Aura community.
Aura Family Doctors Practice Manager, Kayleigh said the practice chose to open their doors in Aura to bring excellent healthcare services to a new area.
“At the time of opening, Aura didn’t have any healthcare services in the direct area. The practice has since become an essential healthcare provider for the Aura community, with plans to continue expanding to meet its growing needs,” Kayleigh said.
Led by a team of highly experienced GPs and supported by nursing and reception staff, Aura Family Doctors offers a range of services, meaning locals can access quality healthcare close to home.
In addition to its general practice offering, patients also have access to a range of onsite support services including pathology, a specialist sports and spinal allied health team, an allergy clinic and a dedicated skin cancer clinician, providing early detection and treatment services.
“We love being part of the Aura community, understanding local healthcare needs and providing effective and personalised care for better health outcomes for individuals and the community as a whole,” Kayleigh said.
“Aura is a vibrant welcoming community with a broad demographic of people of all ages.
“The abundant green spaces, cycleways and pathways help to inspire people to live healthier lives. For a new community, there are always people out and about and utilising the well-planned cycleways and footpaths.”
