NOW OPEN: Aura's emergency services precinct!
A significant milestone in the region’s infrastructure development has been achieved, with the opening of Aura’s brand new emergency services precinct on Saturday August 3.
To mark the grand opening a Community Open Day was held over the weekend, providing residents with the opportunity to explore the new facilities and meet with the dedicated emergency service teams, who will service the growing Caloundra South region.
Located in the Aura town centre, near the Bells Creek Arterial Road, the new emergency services precinct houses a $7.9 million state-of-the-art ambulance station, a $13.5 million purpose-built police station and $8.5 million modern fire and rescue service station.
The precinct will provide residents will access to improved frontline emergency services, with the police station manned 24 hours a day by an approved team of 30 officers, further enhancing community safety.
The brand new emergency services precinct opened its doors to the Aura community with a Community Open Day on Saturday 3 August.
Stockland Aura Project Director Josh Sondergeld said Stockland was delighted to see this important infrastructure become a reality for Aura residents.
"The opening of this precinct marks a significant investment in our community's future,” said Mr Sondergeld.
“From enhanced response times to improved coordination, this precinct will set a benchmark for excellence in public safety.
“Having three emergency services — police, fire and ambulance — operating from a brand new, central location ensures that our emergency services are equipped with the latest technology and resources to respond swiftly and effectively.
“This precinct will not only provide valuable infrastructure to meet the needs of the community but will also provide job opportunities, reinforcing Stockland’s vision for Aura locals to work, live and play within their local community.”
