For Brooke Anderson and Kim Smith, Little Bake House started with two friends, a backyard, and a shared love of baking.

“Our business journey all began with an idea over a couple of wines and lots of laughs,” Brooke recalls. “By 2022, we finally turned our dream into a reality, and Little Bake House was born.”

Now, their charming cream-coloured caravan is a beloved feature at the Aura Farmers Market every Saturday morning (and the occasional Twilight Market too!), where they serve up fresh coffee and an irresistible selection of baked treats.

With a focus on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, Little Bake House keeps things simple but next-level delicious.

“Our best sellers? Definitely our cookies,” says Brooke. “Kim loves the classic chocolate chip, while I’m obsessed with our Biscoff variety. But our new pistachio-filled cookies are quickly becoming a customer favourite too!”

Regulars also rave about their brownies and cupcakes, so there is no shortage of sugary goodness to choose from.

Beyond the markets, the dynamic duo offer catering for all occasions — from custom birthday cakes to charcuterie platters and corporate event spreads.

Their love for what they do shines through in every bite. “The best part is getting to work together every day,” Brooke says. “Seeing our passion and hard work turn into something that brings joy to the community is so rewarding.”

For Aura’s Community Development Manager, Charlotte Buckley, seeing businesses like Little Bake House thrive is exactly what makes the Aura Farmers Market so special.

“The markets create such an incredible platform for small businesses to connect with the community and grow,” she says. “We love supporting local entrepreneurs, and our Stockland Aura office is a regular customer of Little Bake House’s catering — we’ve even ordered customised treats complete with Aura’s branding!”

Freshly baked and impossible to resist! Which one would you pick first?

And the future? It’s looking pretty sweet.

“We’ve recently expanded to Southbank Parkway in Stockland’s Birtinya community, serving coffee and treats Monday to Wednesday,” Kim shares. “And we have so many exciting plans on our vision board — maybe even opening our own café one day!”

So, next time you visit the Aura Farmers Market, be sure to stop by Little Bake House for your coffee fix and one of their freshly baked signature treats. Trust us — you won’t regret it!
