As Aura’s third suburb, Banya is fast becoming a popular haven for residents seeking a family friendly and welcoming location to live. Current Sunshine Coast residents, Christina and Armarni, are soon moving into Aura to live in their dream house and can’t wait to call this special community home.

“I can’t wait to finally build our dream home here in Aura for myself and my daughter. We are both so excited for this new beginning and being part of such a welcoming community,” said Christina.

“We really wanted to move into an area that was family friendly and yet still close to the beaches.

“The main reason I decided to build is that I had previously purchased an existing home and it just never felt like it was my own. I really wanted to have a home that ticked every box.

“To be able to create something from scratch and put my heart into it, that was the exciting part about building our new home in Aura.”

As a carefully considered masterplanned community, with everyday necessities like schools, shopping, parks and transport close by, Aura provides convenient living for its residents.

“I love the convenience of being able to both work and live in Aura and have my daughter attend school here also. I currently work in Aura and the Caloundra area, so there’s less commuting for me, which means more time spent with my daughter.

“Aura provides a great opportunity to embrace the Sunshine Coast lifestyle and the future infrastructure of Aura is really exciting. 

“We are so impressed with the amenities that are already here, and with everything that’s planned for the future of Aura. We are excited for the Farmers Markets, lagoon and new Aura Hotel, it’s only going to make the area even more appealing.

“In our spare time we enjoy heading to the beach or the markets, and enjoying the community events on in the area. On our weekends we constantly live our lives, as if we are here on holidays. There are moments when we often we don’t feel the need to venture outside of Aura.”

One of the features that drew Christina and Armarni to purchase a home site in Aura was the abundance of green space and extensive network of walkways and cycling paths, making for an easy and safe way to get around the neighbourhood.

“I love all of the parks, playgrounds and open spaces for the kids to run around and have fun and meet lots of their friends also from the neighbourhood.

“Having designated paths for bikes and scooters keeps the kids off the road and keeps them safe and it’s really easy to get around and visit our friends and utilise what the area has to offer.”

Charlotte Buckley, Stockland Community Development Manager said that over 109km of walkways and cycling veloways have currently been constructed of the planned 200km on completion.

“Aura’s thoughtfully designed paths not only weave seamlessly through the community but also provide a safe environment for youngsters to explore on their bikes,” said Ms Buckley.

The welcoming community environment was another drawcard, and a definite reason for Christina and Armarni deciding to make the move to Aura.

“Being part of a community is like having a large extended ‘family’. It’s about being part of something special and feeling like you belong. I look forward to being a part of this thriving Aura community with my daughter,” said Christina.

“I find that everyone I interact with in Aura is just so friendly and so welcoming and it’s a place that I’m looking forward to calling home for years to come.
