Future Faces of Aura | Darrell & Margaret
As retirees who have settled on the Sunshine Coast, Darrell and Margaret are very excited to soon move into Banya as its newest residents and live closer to family members who are also embracing life in the Aura community.
Soon to be Aura residents Darrell and Margaret can’t wait to embrace life as retirees in their new home in Banya
“We are very excited about moving into Aura and we chose to buy here because we’ve been coming up to the Sunshine Coast for years and we’ve got a son that lives here too,” said Darrell.
“I’ve always loved Caloundra and this is just the icing on the cake.”
Stockland Community Development Manager Charlotte Buckley said that living in Aura means residents have everything at their fingertips, including schools, shopping, parks, playgrounds, cycleways, sports fields, entertainment and employment opportunities.
“Banya’s location within Aura ensures residents can easily cycle to the future city centre and walk to the many open green spaces and recreation areas” said Ms Buckley.
“Residents also have easy access to the pristine Sunshine Coast beaches with Caloundra just a few kilometres down the road from Aura.
“Aura residents can really embrace the outdoors and a relaxed and laid-back lifestyle, and Banya is the perfect place to call home.”
With over 20 parks and playgrounds now open in Aura, over 109km of the planned 200km of pedestrian pathways and bikeways already delivered and 700 hectares of conservation areas and open space reserves, there are plenty of outdoor spaces where both children and adults can gather to relax, chat and play.
“There’s something magical about Aura. With all of the new houses being built, it’s exciting to see the growth here for families,” said Margaret.
“There’s parks for kids and parks for dogs and the waterway is really pretty too.
“It’s just such a welcoming place. The trees are established and there is plenty of green space to enjoy.
“I love being able watch people on their bikes and scooters with the separate bikeways and walkways.”
The couple eagerly anticipate their new life in Banya and the opportunity to be part of a new community.
“It's been great to start building a network of friends and neighbours here in Aura and you need that when moving to a new area, to know what to do and where to go,” said Darrell.
“It’s exciting to think about all the new people we’ll meet and the fun we’ll have making friends and getting involved with the community,” said Margaret.
“We can’t wait to become Aura locals!”
