More than 100 buyers have inspected the sites of their new dream homes during the first ‘walk your lot’ event at Stockland’s Foreshore Coomera waterside community.

Future residents used the unique opportunity to meet other buyers and explore the community located close to the Coomera River in the heart of the Gold Coast’s northern growth corridor.

Foreshore’s very first customers, Anthony and Amy Kinnane, had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially open the first streets at Foreshore Coomera, to the cheers of future neighbours.

David Laner, Acting Queensland General Manager for Residential Communities at Stockland, said the ‘walk your lot’ event was the first opportunity for many buyers to set foot on their actual block of land.

“Construction of Foreshore Coomera is progressing very well and we were delighted to welcome our first buyers to the community and show them around,” Mr Laner said.

“Foreshore’s first streets and parks are really starting to take shape and we are expecting our first residents will be moving into their new homes by the end of this year,” he said.

Located only 26 kilometres from the Gold Coast CBD, Foreshore is attracting a wide range of new home buyers looking for relaxed waterside lifestyle surrounded by nature.

“The Gold Coast’s northern growth corridor is fast becoming a haven for first home buyers through to upgraders and Coomera is positioned at the heart of this sought-after area,” Mr Laner said.

“Buyers are increasingly prioritising a healthy and active lifestyle and the community offers easy access to the water, nature reserves and established shops and schools to ensure future residents have the best of both worlds.

“The Coomera East Shopping Centre is located directly adjacent to the community and the $470 million Westfield Coomera is expected to open just two kilometres from Foreshore at the end of this year, ensuring that outstanding retail, dining and entertainment options are right on our doorstep.

“With lots at Foreshore starting from $248,900 and waterside lots available from $392,900, buyers are discovering outstanding opportunities to either take their first steps on the property ladder or upgrade into stunning family homes with a view.”

Foreshore is located close to the Coomera Train Station, sporting ovals, employment options, public and private schools, childcare facilities, tertiary education, health and retail services, Gold Coast theme parks and four renowned golf courses.

More than half of the community is dedicated to open space and conservation with additional planned amenities including bike and walking trails.
