Three Gold Coast former Masters stores are to become ‘enticing’ retail malls and the first could open by July.
Home Consortium, representing major retail industry interests will operate the malls, at Bundall, Nerang and Upper Coomera, and each will have a cafe and employ up to 150 staff.

Tenants will include JB Hi-Fi, Spotlight, The Good Guys, A Mart, Nick Scali, Supercheap Auto and Fantastic Furniture.

Home Consortium head David Di Pilla said the malls will offer an enticing retail experience.
"We are creating a good news story out of what was a down story for the Gold Coast.

“We expect 100 to 150 people could be employed at each venue during mall construction work and that, at the end, there will be 150 jobs at each property.”

Mr Di Pilla said Home Consortium is in the process of applying for development approval to convert the ex-Masters warehouses into malls.
