With a Woolworths and 13 specialty stores, the Stockland North Shore shopping centre makes your weekly shop a breeze. The growing North Shore Town Centre also features a Bunnings, McDonalds, weekly farmers market and medical services including a vet and medical centre.
North Shore is a connected green community with 9 parks, 8 playgrounds, 300 hectares of bushland, 9km of walking trails and a 6km Green Spine Parkland Corridor. Every home is no more than 200m from open space, and a network of paths and tracks connects residents to each other and the town centre.
A new State School has been conﬁrmed to join North Shore in 2018. The Queensland Government has confirmed a $90 million investment in the school which will be located in the heart of North Shore’s community village.
North Shore residents currently enjoy a choice of St Clare’s Catholic Primary School for Prep to Year 7 and the Townsville Grammar School’s North Shore campus for Pre-Kindy and Pre-Prep students, with primary grades commencing in 2017.

With an aquatic centre, playgrounds and kids sporting programs, there's plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The Northern Beaches Leisure Centre has four pools and waterslides, along with BBQ facilities, making it the perfect place for a day of family fun. Our younger residents also enjoy access to range of sporting programs just for them, including swimming classes, Grasshopper soccer, Giggletoes dance classes and AFL. Energy, materials, waste, ecosystems, water and community were key considerations in the formulation of the North Shore masterplan. Energy efficient homes are encouraged with sustainable initiatives showcased at the North Shore Display Village.
Partnerships with organisations such as Greening Australia and Ergon have also played a role in North Shore's development. We have partnered with Ergon to create 'The Handbook', a free resource to help residents make choices during the design process to improve their homes energy efficiency.
