One of Australia’s largest diversified property groups, Stockland, has announced its 2021 CARE Grant recipients, awarding $5,000 to five local community groups in the Townsville region.

In 2021, Stockland has awarded $285,000 in grants to 285 local groups, clubs and programs across Australia who support health, wellbeing, community connection, education or local environmental initiatives.

The company’s nearby North Shore Community has also awarded grants to the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare, North Townsville Community Hub, Community Gro, and the North Queensland Potters Association.

Amy Hogan, National Manager of Group Sustainability at Stockland, said: “We’re proud to once again help so many community groups across the country, and to celebrate such a significant milestone for the CARE Grants program, having donated over $2 million since it first launched in 2014".

“Our vision is to be a leading Australian property company that also strongly prioritises investing in our communities and country".

“The CARE Grants program underwrites this vision by recognising the contributions that these hundreds of recipients make to their communities every single day, and supporting our purpose in creating ‘a better way to live".

“We’re pleased to continue our support of local organisations whose great work, dedication and commitment are an essential part of helping any community to thrive.”

The Stockland CARE Grants program, now in its eighth year, has distributed over $2 million in funding to more than 2,000 local community groups nationally.

Earlier this year, Stockland also pledged a donation of $20,000 to Good360 for flood relief to ensure that essential goods were distributed to flood-affected areas near our assets quickly and efficiently.

Stockland CARE Grants is an annual program run throughout communities located near a Stockland Retail, Residential or Retirement Living community, and provides local organisations with funding support to help them establish more cohesive, inclusive and engaging programs.
