With its striking mountainous range and clear blue sky backdrop, Ripley Valley is a region known for its natural beauty and strong community focus.

Committed to champion the region and its residents, is Providence’s Community Engagement Manager, Courtney Gillott.

As a long-time local and advocate for the area, Courtney brings her knowledge and expertise to help support the needs of Providence residents in delivering diverse projects that have the community at heart.

Courtney spoke to us about why she loves the region, and her vision for the role and its residents. 

“I have lived and worked across the region (Logan, Ipswich and the Scenic Rim) for the past 15 years. I love Ripley Valley for its beautiful mountains and open skies,” she commented.   

 “Providence is a fantastic place to live and is built around a community which is connected to each other and their place. In my role as Community Engagement Manager, I want to help support and bring together the residents to achieve their vision for Providence and the Ripley Valley.”

Endless scenic drives to explore, parks and picnics to choose from

Courtney also explained why she enjoys working and living in the region.

“The region has so much to offer, and I love being part of the community,” she said.

“When I am not at work, there are so many ways I like spending time with family and friends. There are endless scenic drives to explore, parks and picnics to choose from, or beautiful camping spots to enjoy… the region really does have it all!”
