Work on the local South Ripley Satellite Hospital is well underway.

On Thursday, 30th June MP Mr Lance McCallum, welcomed Annastacia Palaszczuk MP to the site, along with my fellow Ipswich MPs Jennifer Howard MP and Jim Madden MP - Ipswich West.

The South Ripley Satellite Hospital will deliver healthcare closer to home as part of the record Health and Hospital Plan alongside $710M for an additional 200 beds at Ipswich Hospital and the $177M, 174 public bed expansion of Mater Hospital Springfield.

The Satellite Hospital will provide healthcare services that are more appropriately delivered in the community, closer to home and in a more convenient setting. This facility will support emergency departments at major hospitals by giving people the option to access healthcare for minor injuries and illnesses within their local community.
