With summer heating up and school holidays upon us, looking for the perfect place to cool down is a high priority on every family’s list!

Luckily for local residents, the award-winning Splash ‘n’ Play Adventure Park is located in the heart of Providence and offers fun for everyone from toddlers to teens.

Splash ‘n’ Play offers an incredible selection of fountains and water play features to enjoy. With wiggly sprayers that can be controlled by children, and a bigger kid zone with water shooters, this is the ultimate water park! 80% of the water area is undercover, so it’s easy to enjoy everything on offer all year round.

Once cooled off, kids can also get involved in climbing up and flying out of park’s slides in a safe way, thanks cleverly designed safety netting at all angles. There is a cable run (otherwise known as a flying fox) and nearby, a shaded toddler playground offers nets, swings, climbing features and even a garden-themed seesaw.

Providence families are also only a short drive from Robelle Domain. Set on 24 hectares and comprising over 11km of boardwalks, sporting fields, walking tracks and playgrounds, Robelle Domain is also home to Orion Lagoon.

Offering an expansive selection of shallow pools and water features, Orion Lagoon is a water-based zone accommodating all age groups. There are interconnected pools ranging from toddler-friendly 0.3 metres up to 1.5 metres for more proficient swimmers. Some are gently graded from the edge to give a beach-like effect, with one section offering aqua features such as squirting spouts and stepping-stones. There is also an early evening sound and light show to cap off your day.

Another water park favourite for locals is River Heart Parklands, a short 15 minute drive from Providence. Otherwise known as Bob Gamble Park, this space incorporates a state-of-the-art zero-depth water park alongside its discovery forest, flying fox, climbing spider, swings, barbecue and picnic facilities.  There is a mini city of 'stepping stones' through a valley of streams, a terraced water zone, mini fountains and interactive water pumps. The zero-depth pool also allows children to frolic in, slide or ride bikes through it.

With so many splashtastic options for locals… how will you spend your summer days in Providence?
