With location and lifestyle, Braybrook has a lot to offer. From beautiful scenery, to rich culture, to great shopping and yummy food options – there is something for everyone here.

Did you know that we are:

● We are only a 10-15 minute drive to an abundance of restaurants and cool bars in Footscray, Yarraville and Seddon
● Within walking distance to Central West Shopping Centre
● Just 5km to Highpoint Shopping Centre
● A short drive to Melbourne CBD (aka foodie heaven)

There are many great foodie options right on our doorstep, below we have listed (in no particular order) five of our local favourites. Hopefully these become your favourites when you move into your new home at Orion at Braybrook:

The Plough Hotel
Location: 333 Barkly Street, Footscray
Website: http://www.ploughhotel.com.au/
Perfect for: Families, friends and date night

With a focus on showcasing Victoria’s regional craft beer and wine, The Plough Hotel is the perfect place to make your new local. The service is high quality yet down-to-earth and the menu offers all of your pub favourites made with the very best local produce.

The Head Chef, Scott Thomas and the team at The Plough Hotel created their dishes to complement the warm, stylish surrounds of the bistro, restaurant and casual dining areas. Everything here is pickled, sauced, crumbed and preserved in-house and their produce is sourced locally wherever possible.

Harley and Rose
Location: 572 Barkly Street, West Footscray
Website: https://www.harleyandrose.net.au/
Perfect for: Families, friends and date night
Harley and Rose is your local neighbourhood restaurant, bar and bottle shop in West Footscray, Melbourne. This funky location offers smart casual food, wood-fired pizzas, family meals and drinks.

One of the most impressive things about Harley and Rose are their chefs - two chefs who’ve spent years at popular Melbourne foodie spots including Three Two One, Cumulus Inc, the Builders Arms and Cutler and Co. It’s no surprise that with chefs like this the food (in particular the pizzas) are really delicious!

Mr West
Location: 106 Nicholson Street, Footscray
Website: http://mrwest.com.au/
Perfect for: Meeting friends and date night

Mr West is the perfect spot for drinks with friends or a date night without the kids. It houses twenty-four taps pouring beer, wine, cider and cocktails (including espresso martini on tap!).

This new double-storey bar on Nicholson Street is funky and busy. The food offering is pretty simple but very delicious. The menu includes bar snacks, charcuterie and cheeses.

The Braybrook Hotel
Location: 353 Ballarat Road, Braybrook
Website: http://braybrookhotel.com.au/
Perfect for: A casual family meal

This Hotel will be your new local when you move into Orion at Braybrook, and it’s a pretty impressive local at that. The food is buffet-style and is great for simple dining with the kids.

It’s really great for families as it has a large kids play area - it’s one of the biggest indoor play areas located in a family hotel environment in Victoria. Warning: you may find it hard to get your kids to leave!

Back Alley Sally's
Location: 4 Yewers Street, Footscray
Website: https://www.backalleysallys.com.au/
Perfect for: Meeting friends and date night

Back Alley Sally's is located in a multi storey warehouse in Footscray’s Yewer Street. It’s a cool, grungy bar that is brought to you by the team behind 1000£Bend, St. Jerome’s laneway bar and St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.

Their known for their great pizza and bar foods. Head on over here for drinks and dinner with friends or a fun event like a birthday or anniversary where you want to let your hair down.

It’s also really easy to get into the city of Melbourne for a fancy meal, if you wanted to head into the city for a bite to eat it’s only 12 km away.

With Tottenham and Sunshine stations both a short walk away, it’s easy to get around Melbourne and further afield by train. You’re less than 20 minutes into Melbourne’s Flinders Street or Central Station, and also on a direct line to Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat.

Six bus routes travel through Braybrook too – so whether you’re taking the 215 to Highpoint shopping centre or the 410 to Footscray, you can enjoy knowing that your car does not limit you.
