The fences are down and the Mt Atkinson Skeleton Creek Wetlands are now open to the public.

The fences are down and the Mt. Atkinson Skeleton Creek Wetlands are open for residents to explore.

Thompson Berrill Landscape Design (TBLD) and Australian Ecosystems designed, and recently completed construction of the wetlands.

Over 135,000 native aquatic plants were planted in the 3.5 hectare wetland project using reusable and recyclable trays.

After just 6 months they look amazing and will provide important habitat for native wildlife, and improve the health of Skeleton Creek.

This is just the first stage of the Skeleton Creek Wetlands at Mt. Atkinson, and we look forward to providing future updates on the next stage.
