There was perfect spring weather when Stockland attended the Stringybark Festival in Rowville this September.

Stringybark is a sustainability festival, empowering the local Knox community to live sustainably. Attendees got to re-create in the Maker Space, where the challenge was to resurrect, refashion and re-purpose life into the items we routinely discard.

There was also the Giants of Knox art installation, where the community contributed to creating a ‘miniature’ Knox – a world of streets and buildings, parks and playgrounds and imagining what the future of Knox might look like.

It was the perfect occasion for Stockland to proudly promote the recent 6 Star Green Star accreditation awarded to Waterlea, set to be a remarkable future-proofed community in Rowville.

It’s a first of its kind community for Stockland, setting new benchmarks for smart eco living, where residents will enjoy the benefits of energy efficient, low maintenance homes with a reduced carbon footprint – as well as reduced living costs. Now that’s something to promote! We look forward to next years’ festival.
