What is a house and land package?

House and land packages are Stockland's most popular offering. This is where you buy a lot of land in your chosen Stockland Community and choose from a selection of trusted Stockland builders who provide the house and land package. You then work with the builder to 'customise' the house you have chosen for the land lot, letting you bring your dream home to life.

 

What is a house?

A free standing or detached house has no shared walls. Most people who buy land in a Stockland community choose to build houses.

What does land only mean?

'Land only' is similar to the house and land package. You still buy land in your preferred Stockland community, but then you find and work with your own builder on all construction elements (while still sticking to Stockland Design Guidelines.

What is a townhouse?

A townhouse goes by a number of different names, including townhome, terrace and terraced house. The technical definition is: three or more attached houses in a row with shared common walls. Townhouses are available in a number of different styles and sizes, making them perfect for singles, couples and even families.

What is a villa?

Depending on where you live, 'villa' may be another word for a townhouse, or it could be a small single-storey house (generally with an attached garage and small garden or courtyard) in a self-contained complex of similar homes.

Stockland villas are located in retirement living villages (where they are known as independent living units). They are a great option for socially minded older people who are looking to downsize.
