Free family fun day to launch new riverfront parkland at Foreshore Coomera
A free family fun day is set to herald the launch of an exciting new 1.25 hectare riverfront park at Stockland’s Foreshore Coomera community on the Gold Coast.
An action-packed program including live music as well as games for children will form part of the official opening of Foreshore Jetty Park, located on Foreshore Street, on Saturday, 2 February, from 11am-1pm.
In addition, a variety of delicious food options will be available for purchase on the day.
The park, in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Coomera River under a canopy of mature shade trees, will provide the perfect backdrop for family barbecues and get-togethers as well as opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy kayaking and fishing.
A custom-designed covered timber jetty with seating features a launch pontoon for kayaks, along with an excellent vantage point for throwing a line. A kayaking instructor will be on hand to offer tips and take people out on to the water in kayaks for free at the opening.
David Laner, Queensland General Manager for Residential Communities at Stockland, said the park complemented the natural beauty of Foreshore Coomera which was proving popular with homebuyers looking for a healthy, active lifestyle in a convenient location.

Foreshore Coomera is only 26 kilometres from the Gold Coast CBD and just a short drive to the Coomera Train Station, with easy access to the M1 Motorway.
The Coomera East Shopping Centre is located directly adjacent to the community and the $470 million Westfield Coomera is just two kilometres from Foreshore Coomera, with outstanding retail, dining and entertainment options.
