Strong buyer interest in new over 50s community in Aura as sales officially launch

02 March 2021

An exciting new lifestyle community designed for over-50s in Stockland’s award-winning Aura community is attracting strong interest from buyers, with the project’s much-anticipated official sales launch held over the weekend.

Stockland’s $132 million first lifestyle community – Thrive Nirimba – will offer 244 homes and modern community facilities, located close to the beach, cafes, restaurants and shops.

The official launch brought together a range of customers to explore the latest plans and enjoy grazing platters and live music at Thrive Nirimba’s new Sales and Information Centre on Saturday 27 February. Those attending also had a chance to tour the community’s four newly-opened, stunning display homes, with Stockland representatives on hand to help with any questions.

Stockland General Manager of Thrive lifestyle communities, Kingsley Andrew, said the strong interest wasn’t surprising, as the new product provides over-50s with a really attractive alternative to traditional retirement living on the Sunshine Coast.

“This new lifestyle community model enables customers to purchase their new home outright with no entry or exit fees, and pay a site rental fee which covers council rates, and includes access to community facilities for all homeowners.

“We’re thrilled to see this new model resonate so well with buyers who are looking to downsize their homes or retire and also free up capital to enjoy the benefits of resort-style living.

“Construction is progressing well since commencing in late September and we’re looking forward to the first residents moving in this June.”

The Clubhouse will be the hub of the Thrive Nirimba community, where like-minded residents can enjoy all the social, wellness, active, and creative spaces on offer such as a movie theatre, heated outdoor pool, gymnasium, pickleball courts and more. The communal kitchen and alfresco entertaining areas will also provide areas to connect with family and friends.

Thrive Nirimba is set within the 2,400-hectare masterplanned community of Aura, with access to more than 200 kilometres of walking and cycle paths which easily connects the residents to a network of shops and facilities.
