At Elara, we know it takes a lot more than bricks and mortar to create a thriving community. Our annual Liveability Index Survey measures what matters to our residents, so we can design our communities around what’s important.
The Liveability Index Survey invites feedback on all aspects of the community - from quality of built and natural environments, to how it's design supports mental and physical wellbeing.
Situated in the heart of Elara, the Northern Playing fields will provide another destination hub for the community and regional visitors to explore and enjoy their outdoor surroundings.
The facility will include a full-size AFL playing field and junior playing fields, amenities building, cricket nets, walking and cycling paths, a playground and car park. The future playing fields will provide space for all ages to engage in physical activities, sports and outdoor games.
It has been designed as a location for the Elara community, their friends and neighbouring sporting team to gather and be active. This will not only promote a healthier lifestyle but also foster a sense of community spirit.
Construction is expected to commence in early 2024, with completion anticipated by early 2025.
Just minutes away from Elara Village Shopping Centre, this newly constructed facility will provide high-quality residential aged care services including long-term residential care, respite care, Palliative care and Dementia care. Marsden Park Care Community, developed and operated by Opal Health Care,
is expected to open in late 2023.
Across the road from Northbourne Public School and adjacent to Opal Aged Care sits the future Childcare Centre which is to include approximately 120 children and is anticipated to open late 2024. The child care includes onsite parking and Stockland will be working closely with very well-established operators to deliver a superior Childcare Centre providing exceptional education for your children.
We are looking forward to continuing community programs in 2024. We have a schedule of events that are locked including our Ready Steady Go Kids and Live Life Get Active program.
We continue our partnership with Northwest Community Services who will continue to mane the Elara Community Hub, while also working to activate the broader Elara community and engage with residents with regular activities, programs and forums.
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility, we have been exploring the possibility of introducing an on-demand bus service. Our community is thriving, and with growth comes the need for efficient transportation options. We understand the importance of convenient travel, especially to the train station and other essential amenities.
We will continue to keep you updated on our progress and look forward to working together to make our community even better connected and more accessible for everyone.
