The final stage of the Riparian Parklands is now officially open

15 December 2022
It’s officially now open, the final 12 hectares of the 24-hectare site that ties up the green, beating heart of our community.

The final stage of the Riparian Parklands, bound between Elara Boulevard, Ribbonwood Crescent and Sundew Parade, includes a 3-hectare lake, 3 separate grassy islands as well as plenty of wildlife including birds, fish, and frogs. The area also includes a new 2-hectare playground as well as a pedestrian bridge, picnic shelters, BBQ facilities and large, open grassy areas.

The broader Riparian Corridor includes 12 kilometres of continuous paths and trails, lookout platforms, wetland areas, outdoor exercise hubs, barbecue facilities, inclusive play environments and informal play areas.

Not only will this area serve as a space for families to play, exercise and socialise, but the parklands will also work as a habitat creation and storm water management site.

We can’t wait to see you enjoying the space over the upcoming school holidays.
