Come celebrate the filling of Newport Lake and the opening of Lakeview Park.

Bring your picnic blanket to enjoy an afternoon in the park with views of the newly filled Newport Lake.

From 12pm come on down to ride the pedal boats or kayaks. Spend the afternoon under our big umbrellas listening to live music, enjoying a tasty treat from the food trucks and a wide range of children's entertainment!

As the sun goes down at 6.25pm we will celebrate with a fireworks display!

Parking: Please walk to the event if you are close by. Limited parking will be available in the empty block across from the park on the Corner of Trinity Street and Lakeview Promenade.
