On Saturday 15th October an event was held to showcase the newly filled lake and opening of Lakeview Park.

The sun was shining and we had an amazing day filled with family-friendly activities and entertainment. 

Guests began arriving early to claim their spots amongst the seating provided. There were lines for both the food trucks and water activities as soon as they commenced at 12pm. On such a hot day it was lovely our community could cool off in the water and explore the newly filled Newport Lake on kayaks or pedal boats! Live music was enjoyed by all and large lawn games were set up for the  young and young at heart to enjoy!

The face painter and balloon twister were never without a line of eager children and the hula hoopers and stilt walkers provided good entertainment while they waited for their turn. Many attendees took advantage of the photo booth and took home a lovely branded keepsake of the fun-filled day on the lake.

Activities wrapped at 6pm and the fireworks show commenced soon after. The show was a fabulous form of entertainment to celebrate this significant community milestone!
