Orion at Braybrook is a masterplanned residential townhouse community set on 11.5 hectares at Braybrook in the City of Maribyrnong. There are so many places around Orion to get together, get active and raise a growing family. With generous parklands and soft leafy laneways, the beauty of the natural world is never far away.

Below we have listed some of our favourite spots to go for a walk, a bike ride or get active around the area:

The Maribyrnong River and Trail

The Maribyrnong River Trail is a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists that runs through the north western suburbs of Melbourne. The trail winds its way through the valley, linking Braybrook to Footscray and the Melbourne CBD. It’s mostly flat and considered an easy walk, perfect for families with children.

There’s more than just walking tracks at the Maribyrnong River, you can go canoeing, take your children fishing or board a pleasure boat for a trip up the river.

You will find also outdoor gym equipment on the riverfront near Footscray Park or the playground at Jensen Reserve.

Be sure to stop and grab a delicious coffee once you are done at the Happy River Cafe!

Matthews Hill Reserve

Matthews Hill Reserve is adjacent to Orion at Braybrook, it’s a short walk or bike ride for the kids.

This is one of our favourite parks in the area, it includes a large wooden playground, plenty of green areas, sheltered areas with tables, two electric bbq's and a full size basketball court. You can bring along a picnic and spend the whole afternoon here! There’s plenty of areas to walk, ride and work-out in the outdoors.

Medway Golf Club

With a rich history dating back to 1934, this 18-hole golf course spans across 5721 metres of beautifully manicured green lawn that cradles the Maribyrnong and parklands. It’s the perfect place to meet some friends on a weekend and play a round of golf.
