The Plough Hotel (4.5km) – This is the place to go if you are after some atmosphere to watch the footy on a cold day! Enjoy the cooler weather and cosy up with a Victorian beer or glass of wine while you peruse the large menu. The owners at The Plough commit to sourcing local produce wherever they can. Tip – drop in after watching a match at nearby VU Whitten Oval.

The Cheeky Pint (4.8km) - Catch up with friends in the amazing atmosphere inside the old Barkly Hotel building. They are known for craft beer and the famous Cheeky Pint Parma, served with ham and golden mozzarella cheese - it doesn’t disappoint! Tip - make the most of owner Mitch’s beer passion and knowledge - try the tasting paddle!

Mr West (5.8km) - If artisan wines or craft beer take your fancy, this specialty bar and bottle shop is for you. The bar upstairs has 30 taps pouring wine, cocktails and beer, while the bottle-shop stocks hundreds of artisan beers, wine and spirits. Owners Caleb and Josh pride themselves on ‘hops and fine drops’ and have a passion for liquor from Australia and all over the world. You might be keen on one of their regular masterclasses or tasting events!

Back Alley Sally’s (6.5km) - Set in a converted warehouse, Sally’s has a seriously great vibe all year round with indoor and outdoor spaces, serving bar food and pizza from Slice Girls West. Tip – if you’re partial to a Sunday afternoon wind-down, watch for Sally’s next ‘Best. Sunday. Ever.’ event, with local DJ Relaxative on the decks.
