Meet the new Principal, Anthea Jamieson:
Anthea Jamieson is an innovative leader with more than 20 years of experience in education. Her experience includes establishing a new and exemplary school in a growing, young and diverse community. She was most recently junior school principal at Hazel Glen College in the growth corridor of Doreen.
Anthea holds high expectations for educating children. Her vision for the school is focusing on continuous improvement and excellence for all students in an environment that is nurturing, positive and inclusive.
She is excited about partnering with the Kalkallo Council and surrounding community to establish a vibrant 21st century school, where all children are happy, safe and confident to learn and thrive.
About the school:
Gilgai Plains Primary School's learning philosophy is for all children to feel safe, happy, connected and achieving. Students will be supported to develop critical skills in literacy and numeracy. They will be inspired to be curious and engaged in a wide variety of authentic learning experiences.
