Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Two chocolate mud cakes

  • One white chocolate mud cake

  • Powdered icing

  • 50ml milk

  • Tbsp of vanilla bean paste

  • Oreo cookies

Method:

A metal mixing bowl with powdered icing and vanilla paste, with a cup of milk being poured in.

1. First to make your icing, use an electric beater to combine powered icing, milk, and vanilla bean paste until smooth peaks form.

A metal mixing bowl filled with cake icing sitting on a white wooden benchtop. A chocolate mud cake is sitting on a plate ready to be iced.

2. Next, layer your mud cakes, keeping the white chocolate cake in the middle. This will make your cake look like a giant Oreo when cut! Use a thin layer of icing between each cake to secure.

Three store bought cakes iced and stacked on top of each other. They are sitting on a white wooden benchtop with a metal mixing bowl to the side.

3. Spread remaining icing over the entire cake, covering all three layers. Ensure the layer is thick and even so that the cake appears uniformly covered.
