We've received unanimous support and approval for our new $1.22million over 55s lifestyle complex at Wildflower

Stockland has recently received unanimous support and approval for our first land lease model, over 55s community which will be right here in Piara Waters at Wildflower!

The development is going to be home to 289 over 55s households once complete and will set a new standard for lifestyle living in WA.

The land lease model means homes are sold to owner-occupiers at a price significantly below that of other properties in the area given the residents are purchasing the home alone, with an agreement to pay rent on the Stockland-owned freehold land it is built on.

"Stockland has identified  an opportunity to deliver a new kind of seniors housing that provides quality yet affordable community living that meets the modern day needs and expectations of over 50s, the fastest growing demographic in Australia," our application notes.

"This lifestyle community concept differs crom existing models of retirement housing currently more familiar to the WA market in some important ways.

The City of Armadale has also backed the new development, recommending the Metro Outer Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) approve the proposed lifestyle community.

"It's an interesting business model. Clearly it's not the first one around but it's one of the more sophisticated ones," JDAP specialist member John Syme said.

Future residents will have the flexibility of choosing from seven home variations. Despite the easy-access location near the corner of Warton and Armadale Roads in Piara Waters, the community will enjoy a sense of privacy given access is only through its own private street network.

A close connection to the broader Stockland Wildflower community and established suburb of Piara Waters has already piqued the interest of interested potential residents excited by the opportunity to downsize and build new in an area that is close to their family and connections.

While lifestyle living is not a new concept in WA, Halcyon Communities are elevating this concept with a range of superior features:

Superior architecture: Communities are designed to express the essence of the local lifestyle, with architecture that is both beautiful and functional.

Detailed master-planning: Halcyon focuses on providing more private open spaces, wider streets, and interconnectivity that brings the communities to life.

Community connections: Stockland and Halcyon alike believe in creating communities where neighbours become friends. With designs incorporating driveways, front gardens, lawns, and patios, streets are activated to foster a sense of belonging and chance interaction.

Resort-quality facilities: Thoughtfully designed amenities that seamlessly blend functionality with intimacy, to offer a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle.

Innovative and quality construction: Halcyon takes pride in delivering sustainable communities and upholding residents' long-term investment through innovative and quality construction practices.
