Entertaining the kids during the school holidays can be tough, especially if you’re starting to run out of fun craft activities to try. Luckily, we have a new activity for you and the kids that’ll add a little sparkle into your day – building a magic garden!
This magic garden is easy to put together and will help your kids get creative and build a home for the fairies, pixies, and other magical creatures they love. Things may get a bit messy, so be sure to set up this gardening activity outside, where any spills can be easily cleaned up with a little brush of a witches’ broom! You can head into your local Stockland centre to stock up on all your supplies, so what are you waiting for? Put down the scissors and head outside because it’s time to make a magic garden!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A wide, shallow plant pot
- Soil
- Decorative rocks (we got ours from Kmart)
- Fake grass (we got ours from Kmart)
- Garden ornaments (we got ours from Kmart)
Step 1
Fill the plant pot with soil.
Step 2
Trim the fake grass into interesting shapes to suit your garden design.
Step 3
Place the fake grass, decorative rocks, and garden ornaments onto the soil, creating a small village for your magical creatures to explore.
Step 4
OPTIONAL: Add some sparkle to the garden by sprinkling some glitter onto your creation.
