Meet George, ZAG Seafood

  1. What products, services or experiences do you offer?
ZAG Seafood gives you the best seafood you’ve ever eaten! Four exceptional customer services and our seafood is always fresh. We stock a wide variety of in season whole fish, filleted fish, shellfish, calamari and octopus, frozen seafood plus so much more.

  2. What do you love about your store?
We are a family owned business established in 1987. What we do has brought our whole family together, with each brother running a store and my parents helping out. We love that what we do also brings other families together through fresh seafood.

  3. What drives you and the team (where relevant) to success? What do you love most about your job? What motivates you?
Family and passion are my two drivers and the reasons for my success. My family and my employees work together on a daily basis to make our company successful and achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.

  4. With regard to your store type, what are customers wanting right now?
Customers favourite right now is salmon fillets. However, snapper, barramundi and ling are also favourites. Many customers also love our oysters, prawns and mussels.

  5. What’s three words that describe you?
    Loud, fun, energetic.

  6. What makes a great seafood shop?
Great seafood needs to be fresh! That is why we visit the markets each morning around 4:00am to have the best fish in store before we open.

  7. With regard to your store type, what advice would you have for other retailers?
You need to be dedicated, passionate and patient about what you do. It is hard work and requires a lot of time, energy and patience. You need to know your customers and be willing to adapt to what they need and want from you.
