After 30 years of married life, Merle and Graeme have taken the plunge and gotten themselves a new puppy, a Maltese X Shih Tsu named Jack.
The couple who live at Halcyon Parks (QLD), had both owned dogs before they met, but they were working dogs rather than an “inside dog”.
“It’s like having a little baby,” Merle said of the four-month-old puppy.
“We are enjoying this delightful little fur boy who has joined our family. “
Graeme said Jack looks as though he has been to the hair salon as he has “white tints” on his black fur.
“He loves shoes and got stuck into one of my old bowls shoes,” he said.
The couple have been quick to introduce their new family member to the rest of the community at Halcyon Parks.
“He loves people and everyone loves him,” Graeme said.
Merle added: “He loves being introduced to other fur kids in the community when we take him for a walk.”
