Brand new house and land packages at Stockland’s Stone Ridge residential community are proving considerably more affordable than the average established house according to latest figures from the Real Estate Institute of QLD (REIQ).

The REIQ revealed Moreton Bay’s median house price rose by 1.8 per cent in the three months to December 2016 taking the median house price to $422,250.   However, Stockland’s Stone Ridge community offers great new homes, thousands of dollars less than that figure.  

House and land packages at Stockland Stone Ridge start at just $399,465 for a three-bedroom home, positioning them $22,785 below Moreton Bay’s latest median house price figures.   Ben Simpson, Regional Manager for Stockland, said the family friendly community was the perfect place for buyers to build a new home.

“Affordable, low maintenance sites suit the lifestyle of many people, including first home buyers, mature families and downsizers,” Mr Simpson said.  

“Our latest lots are generating a lot of interest from first home buyers in particular due to their price points and close proximity to shops and public transport.  

“Plus, the $20,000 First Home Owners’ Grant means that first home buyers who purchase a house and land package before 30 June 2017 could be paying as little as $399,465 for a brand new home in Stone Ridge.”
