Ajaz, Lubna and their 3 children are some of the newest Residents at Highlands, hear why they love living here so much.
Close proximity to schooling and easy access to open spaces and parkland is a priority for Highlands residents Ajaz and Lubna Shaikh, and one of the main reasons the couple decided to build within the Stockland community.
The pair, who have three children, were keen to ensure their new family home would be close to schools, the Community Centre, shops and open spaces and decided on a 512 square metre block after renting in Highlands since the middle of 2018.
The location of their home was also important for another reason - it will allow Mr Shaikh’s family to be close to that of a friend, so that both families can offer support if needed.
“We both wanted to purchase at the same time so we thought why not get something close by so that we can help each other.’’ Mr Shaikh said.
The family’s new home will be less than a 10 minute drive from Mt Ridley College, and 500 metres from parkland and the $8 million Aitken Hill Community Centre, which is scheduled to open in 2019.
Mr Shaikh’s daughter is already involved in athletics training at Highlands, and the family makes use of the Splash Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
“Next year my daughter goes to high school so she can do that at Mt Ridley College.’’ Mr Shaikh said.
“There are plenty of open spaces here and shopping is only two kilometres away. What we require from a home we are getting it at Highlands.’’
